    老美口头禅，很有用哦！ - [学习笔记]

    1、为什么当老美说，"You bet." 的时候，就代表你说的一点也没错的意思呢？因为 bet 是下赌注的意思，所以 "You bet." 就是指，"You can bet money on that." (你可以把钱下注在上面)，言下之意，就是说这件事百分之百正确。例如别人问你，"Is this is the way to High Tower Museum?" (这是往 High Tower 博物馆的路吗？) 你就可以回答说，"You bet." (一点也没错)
    　　有时候为了加强语气，连小屁屁 (ass) 都可以拿来当赌注喔！用来表示这件事是百分之两百地正确。例如电视影集 "Friends" 里面，Monica 有一次就说了一句让我至今都印象深刻的话，"You bet your ass I’m going to fire you." (你完完全全正确，我非把你开除不可。) 当然如果不是在跟人家吵架时我们最好还是不要拿小屁屁来当赌注吧！
    　　2. There you go.
    　　就这样了。
    　　"There you go." 是老美希望结束一段对话时，很自然会脱口而出的一句话，特别是在完成某项交易的时候。像是你去买一样东西，当你付完钱之后店员会说，"There you go." 或 "That’s it." 就表示交易已经完成，你可以滚了。 另外像是电台的点歌节目 DJ 在播放音乐之前都会说，"There you go." 表示你要的音乐我找到了，现在要开始播放你所点的歌曲了。
    　　有时候你提醒别人讲话别讲太久也是用 "There you go." 例如有一次班上同学交报告给教授，结果教授还跟他讲东讲西的，那老美也不客气，就说，"Well, I just came by to give you my report, so, there you go!" 这时教授就知道他不想再讲下去了，如果再讲下去自己就太不识相了。
    　　"There you go." 也常常用来鼓励别人有好的表现，例如你的小宝宝开始会说话了，(先假设他听得懂英文好了) 你就可以说，"There you go." 来鼓励他，或是常在球场上听到教练对表现不错的球员大叫，"There you go."
    　　3. Here you go.
    　　干的好。
    　　"Here you go." 和 "There you go." 听起来只有一字之差，所以很多人都会乱用，这二者倒底有什么区别呢？仔细来分，"Here you go." 指的是一件事情还在进行之中，而 "There you go." 则是事情已经结束，例如店员正把你买的东西交付给你，他会说，"Here you go." 而不是 "There you go." 反之，如果东西己经到了你手上，则他会说的是，"There you go."
    　　此外，"Here you go." 和 "There you go." 一样，也有鼓励别人的意思在里面，像我本身蛮喜欢跟老美打棒球的，每次有人大棒一挥，老美就会兴奋地大叫 "Here you go." 问题是他们为什么不说，"There you go." 呢? 因为球在飞行当中算是一个过程，你还不知道结果，所以要用，"Here you go." 会比较正确，而事实上老美也正是这样子用的喔。当然这里各位不必太细究 "There you go." 和 "Here you go." 的区别，小笨霖这里所说的只是一个大原则，至于在日常生活的交谈中，想到哪一个就说哪一个吧。反正老美都听得懂。
    　　4. Oh! My God!
    　　喔！我的老天！
    　　老美在惊讶时很喜欢说，"Oh! My godness!" 或是 "Oh! My God!"，相信这二句话各位都不陌生，不过这都是跟宗教信仰有点关系的，如果你是无神论者，你可以学另一句，"Oh! My!" 或是加强的用法，"Oh! My! My!"，都是非常惊讶的意思。记得有一次参加一个老美的聚会，有一对男女朋友在斗嘴，那个男生说了一句话，"You should go back to kitchen where you belong" (你应该回到属于你的厨房里去) 结果那女生二话不说，甩头摔了门就走，留下一脸错愕的男朋友，他说了，"Oh! My! Did she slam the door?" (我的老天，她有摔门吗？)
    　　5. Oh! Boy!
    　　天啊！
    　　这句话是不是对男生说的呢？其实不是，你不论跟男生或女生都可以说，"Oh! Boy!" 甚至你自己自言自语的时候也可以说，"Oh! Boy!" 例如你一出门，却发现钥匙忘在里面，这时候你最想说的话就是，"Oh! Boy!" (天啊！) 我在想一定会有人问我，那有没有，"Oh! Girl!" 答案是没有的，老美只会说，"Oh! Boy!" 或是 "Oh! Man!" 大家可不要自己发明一些新词啊。
    　　如果你是女生的话，你还有一个小小的特权，你可以说，"Oh! Dear!" 但是像小笨霖这种臭男生可就不能说，"Oh! Dear!" 不然会粉好笑的。
    　　6. Holy cow!
    　　不会吧！(哇赛)！ 介绍完 Oh 系列之后现在要来介绍 Holy 系列的，通常最常听到的 Holy 系列有 "Holy cow!" (圣牛) 和 "Holy shit!" (圣便便) 二个，当然后者是蛮不雅的，我们尽可能不要用它。这二者同样都是表示出十分惊讶，相当于中文口语里「不会吧！」 的味道。例如要是我看到我的好友搂着一个泳装美女照像，我一定会跟他说，"Holy cow!" (不会吧!)
    　　另外还有一个比较少见的用法，"Holy mackerel!" (圣青花鱼！) 也有人会用，但如果你突然跑来跟我说 "Holy mackerel!"我肯定会听不懂就是了。
    　　7. Kind of.
    　　是有那么一点，(还好啦！)
    　　Kind of 和 Sort of 是用来表示有那么一点点，但不是很强烈。例如别人问，"Do you like noodles?" (你喜欢面食吗？) 你如果还有那么一点点喜欢的话，就可以答，"Kind of.

    【例9】 Jobs and work do much more than most of us realize to provide happiness and contentment.

    【译文】 职业和工作对于获得幸福和满足起了很大的作用，我们大多数人对此却认识不足。

    两类问题：一类是译文语义基本符合原文，但汉语表达有欠正确；另一类是汉语表达尚有可读性，但译文语义不符原文。

    目前翻译界普遍接受的，也是作为一般翻译学习者必须努力掌握的标准，简而言之是两条：忠实 (Faithfulness) 和流畅 (Smoothness)。

    【例10】 For Nat Nakasa the pledge he was required to sign -- to leave his country and never return proved too much; he committed suicide in New York.
    ×纳特•纳卡萨不得不发誓离开祖国，不管情况如何永不返家，并自杀于纽约。
    【译文】 对纳特•纳卡萨来说，要他签字保证离开祖国永不返回是难以接受的：他在纽约自杀了。
    【例11】 In the wake of his mother’s death some thirty-six years later, Hemingway turned back to the adventure and tried to write a novel about it.
    ×在他母亲去世36年之后，海明威又想起了那次历险奇遇，并试图写一部小说。
    【译文】 大约36年过后，在他母亲去世后的不久海明威又想起了那次遭遇的险情，并试图就此写一部小说。

    外语腔是初学翻译者不知不觉地会在汉语译文中表现出来的一种不当倾向。翻译时所要表达的内容来自外语原文，原文的词语和结构形式随着内容一起进入到我们的大脑，于是原文的语言形式被带入译文，造成了译文的外语腔。
    【例12】 The only concession he made to the climate was to wear a white dinner jacket.
    ×他对气候的唯一让步就是穿了一件白色的短餐衣。
    【译文】 气候变化，他仅稍稍作了一点变通，赴宴时穿了件白色的短礼服。
    【例13】 If certain animal psychologists are right, a dog adopts his family in a most literal way -- taking it for granted that the family is the band of dogs he belongs to.
    ×假如某些动物心理学家的分析正确，狗在很大程度上代表着它的家人 － 理所当然这一家也就属于狗帮了。
    【译文】 假如有些动物心理学家的分析正确，狗对于他所在家庭的认同是非常实际的－－它理所当然地认为这一家人就是它所归属的一群狗。

    现代西方著名翻译理论家Eugene A. Nida 在其理论著述中经常谈到读者反应的问题。他认为，翻译的服务对象是读者，要评判译文质量的优劣，必须看读者对译文的反应如何，同时必须把这种反应与原作读者对原文可能产生的反应进行对比，看两种反应是否基本一致。

    除了忠实和流畅这两项基本标准之外，好的译文还必须保持原文的风格，包括民族风格、时代风格、语体风格、作者个人的语言风格等。文艺作品的翻译尤其要求这样做。译者不能破坏或改变原文的风格，不能以译者的风格代替原作的风格。

    Unit 1

    I. 英汉翻译原理第一讲： 什么是翻译？

    【例1】 The history of a tree from the time it starts in the forest until the boards which it yields are used, would form an interesting and, in many instances, an exciting story.
    （“×”号表示译文有问题，下同）
    ×树的历史开始于森林中，直到生产为木板后被使用为止，成为一个有趣且有许多事例的激动人心的故事。

    上面这句话的原文实际上主要说了两点内容：
    1、树的历史的起迄时间
    2、树的历史是怎样一回事
    【译文】 一棵树，从它在森林中生长起直到被制成木板使用为止，这段历史会构成一个饶有趣味的故事，在很多情况下这个故事十分激动人心。

    【例2】 There are two regulatory systems which interact. One timing system comes from the evidence of our senses and stomachs, and the periodicity we experience when living in a particular time zone.
    ×有两个调节系统相互作用。一个定时系统来自于我们的感官和胃的证明，就是当我们生活在一个特定的时区所经历的周期性。
    【译文】 人体有两个相互作用的时间调节系统。一个时间调节系统依据感官和胃发出的信息，依据我们生活在某个时区所体验的周期性规律。

    寻找对等词语和结构然后将其串接成句的翻译方法，常表现如下：
    1、简单语句的译文虽然生硬，但基本可读。如：
    【例3】 I can see three different types of composers in musical history, each of whom creates music in a somewhat different fashion.
    ×我能看到音乐史上有三种不同的作曲家，他们中每一个人以某种不同的方式创作音乐。
    【译文】 我发现音乐史上有三类作曲家，他们各自的音乐创作方式有所不同。

    2、较复杂语句的译文似通非通，甚至不知所云。如：
    【例4】 The traditionalist type of composer begins with a pattern rather than with a theme. The creative act with Palestrina is not the thematic conception so much as the personal treatment of a well-established pattern.
    ×传统主义型作曲家始于某种格调而非某种主题。帕莱斯特里纳的创作行为不太像对固定格调进行个性化处理的主题概念。
    【译文】 传统型作曲家是从形式出发而不是从主题出发进行创作的。帕莱斯特里纳的创作不是主题的构思，而是对固定形式的个性化处理。

    3、典型的英语表达形式在汉语无法找到对等形式，翻译无从着手。如：
    【例5】 Find yourself. Be yourself. Popularity will come -- with the people who respect you for who you are.
    【译文】 发现自我，如实地表现自我，你自然会为人们所喜欢－－为那些尊重你的真正个性的人们所喜欢。

    【例6】 Where do you expect Shanghai to be in five years?
    【译文】 你预计今后五年上海的发展目标如何？

    翻译不是一种语言中的词语和语句结构到另一种语言的词语和语句结构的简单转换，也不是在另一种语言中寻找与一种语言中对等的词语和语句结构然后将其串接成句的过程。在英汉翻译中，如果把眼光盯着原文的词语和语句结构这些属于语言层次的东西，结果翻译出来的只是一种文字层次的转换，徒具其形，原文的内容和意义不可能得到很好的表达。

    翻译究竟是什么呢?
    翻译的过程就好比交通工具的换乘过程，两者之间有诸多相似之处。

    交通工具换乘过程：
    内容 (人员) 内容（人员）
    载体（运输工具1） 载体（运输工具2）


    翻译过程：
    内容 (信息) 内容（信息）
    载体（源语） 载体（译语）


    比较两者，其共同点有：
    (1) 两者带有相似的目的：
    两种转换过程都是为了实现内容通过载体的变换从一端到另一端的传递。
    (2) 两者含有相似的基本要素：
    第一要素内容，在交通工具换乘过程中是人员，而在翻译过程中则是信息。
    第二要素载体，在交通工具换乘过程中是车辆、船舶、飞机等，转换前是一种运输工具，转换后改为另一种运输工具；而在翻译过程中则是语言，转换前是源语（source language），转换后是译语（target language）。
    (3) 两者具有相似的操作要求：
    第一，两者都要求内容不变。
    第二，两者都要求过程顺畅

    德国译学教授Wolfram Wilss 在The Science of Translation：Problems & Methods一书中说：
    Translation is not simply a matter of seeking other words with similar meaning, but of finding appropriate ways of saying things in another language. Translating is always meaning-based, i.e. it is the transfer of meaning instead of form from the source language to the target language.（翻译不只是在另一种语言中寻找意义相似的其他词语，而是寻找表达事物的适当方式。翻译始终立足于语义，也就是说，是语义从源语到译语的转换，而不是形式。）
    这说明了翻译是语义的翻译，不是语言形式的翻译，是运用另

    社会工程学 - [学习笔记]

    这是我给科协内部做的社会工程学讲座的讲义，从网上找了些资料，自己也写了一部分，纯粹是感兴趣，这东西不是一时半会就能掌握的，需要很多经验的积累，有写的不对的地方还请批评指正。


    社会工程学
    今天我给大家讲一些关于网络安全方面的东西。可能很多人都对网络安全，对黑客这个词比较感兴趣，但是我今天要告诉大家的并不是怎么去用所谓的技术——包括编程或用其他网络技术去对系统进行物理入侵，我要讲的是一种更高的技巧，就是所谓的社会工程学（Social Engineering）。可能大家对这个词很陌生，现在我就给大家讲一下社会工程学是如何应用在网络安全方面的。
    首先我先介绍一下什么是社会工程学，传统意义上的社会工程学定义是指关于建立通过自然的，社会的和制度上的途径并特别强调根据现实的双向计划和设计经验来一步接一步的解决各种社会问题 。也许这个定义很难明白，那我们看看它在我们这个领域的解释：
    在我们计算机安全方面的社会工程学是一种攻击行为， 攻击者利用人际关系的互动性所发出攻击：通常攻击者如果没有办法通过物理入侵的办法直接取得所需要的资料时，就会通过其他途径对所需要的资料进行骗取，再利用这些资料获取主机的权限以达到其本身的目的。
    从总体上来说，社会工程学就是使人们顺从你的意思，满足你的欲望的一门艺术和学问。它并不单纯是一种控制意识的途径，同样也蕴含了各式各样的灵活的构思与变化，无论何时，在套取到所需要的信息之前，社会工程学的实施者都必须掌握大量的相关基础知识，花时间从事资料的收集与进行必要的如交谈性质的沟通行为。
    社会工程学定位在计算机信息安全工作链路的一个最脆弱的环节上。我们经常讲：最安全的计算机就是拔去了网线连接，成为物理隔离的机器。而事实上，我们可以说服某人，例如使用者把这台非正常工作状态下，容易受到攻击的机器连接上网络并启动带有漏洞的服务。从以上我们可以看出，“人”这个环节在整个安全体系中是非常重要的。这不像平常的计算机系统，不依赖他人手动干预。由此意味着在这一点上，信息安全的脆弱性是普遍存在的，它不会因为系统平台，软件，网络又或者是设备的年龄等因素不同而又所差异。大家可以想象一下，对于实施者来说，他不用管你用的是WINDOWS，UNIX还是LINUX操作系统，不用管你开了什么服务，不用去针对你软件的不同版本去找相应的漏洞，而只需说几话就轻易的绕过了你苦心管理的安全系统，这对管理员来说是一件多么可怕的事啊。
    下面我来讲一下所谓的社会工程学使用者经常使用的手段：
    首先，熟练的社会工程学使用者都擅长进行信息收集，很多表面上看起来一点用都没有的信息都会被这些人利用起来进行渗透，在这一点上，社会工程学跟用技术入侵是一致的，用技术手段入侵之前，我们必须也要收集大量的信息，比如说通过扫描得知对方用的服务器是什么操作系统，上面开放了什么端口，有什么服务，服务有什么漏洞，这些信息都是必须收集的，而社会工程学也一样，但是可能收集信息的侧重点不同，比如要入侵一个公司的网站，他可能会去装成客户去了解公司的情况，收集一些电话号码，工作人员的名字，或者工作人员的ID 号。从这些方面再去找突破口。
    很多社会工程学攻击是很复杂的，包括了周详的计划，并且综合运用了相当的技巧。但是你也可以发现，一些熟练的社会工程学攻击者经常可以只用简单的方法达到他的目的，直接的进行询问来获得他所需要的信息常常是行之有效的。举个例子，某人打电话给电话公司说因为一起火灾的影响，使得附近的电话线路终端毁坏，令附近几十户人家的电话都无法使用，而他本人是个电话线路维修工，也许他可以先帮忙修理。但是修理必须需要一些电话公司不会让非本公司相关职员知道的敏感信息。但是谁又能拒绝一个好心的电话线路维修工人的无私的援助呢，这样，这位社会工程学攻击者就获得他所需要的电话线路信息。
    建立信任也是一项社会工程学的手段，而且是相当重要手段，试想一下如果你和某公司的人建立相当牢固的信任关系，要取得一些重要的敏感信息不就要相对容易的多了吗。要在短时间内获得信任是不容易的，但是也不是没有可能的，只要能被证明你是可以被信任的。举例说明：电话公司在搞促销，只要限定一定时间的使用和约就可以一分钱获得一部最新的手机，注意，前提是一定要签订一定使用期限的移动电话网络使用和约。现在我们想了，怎么能不去花钱签订电话线路使用和约而可以以一分钱拿到这个手机呢。于是他就打了一个电话给这间电话公司属下的一间分店，我们叫它A店。我们请朱磊同学来扮演一下A店的职员，他和职员对话如下：
    职员：这里是电话公司A分店，有什么能帮你的么
    仁兄：你好，我叫仁兄，我之前去过你们的店，我想申请一个手机服务，你们一位姓李的店员（当然是猜的）介绍了一个不错服务给我。我当时没有拿定注意，现在我决定申请那个服务了，哦～～～，那个店员叫李～～～，我不记得了，你知道吗？？？
